So I remember like 7 years ago when I played this game, there was the official 'apocalypse weekend' with him trying to save his dog and all, but then I found another 'expansion' which I think was fan made, called 'a week in paradise' or something like that, which included the normal 5 days and the 2. How do you install a nude patch for postal 2? Postal 2 Apocalypse was released in 2005 as the sequel to Postal 2. Played himself in 'Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend' in 2004.
Platforms: | PC, Mac, Linux |
Publisher: | Tri Synergy |
Developer: | Running With Scissors |
Genres: | 3D Shooter / First-Person Shooter |
Release Date: | May 31, 2005 |
Game Modes: | Singlepalyer / Multiplayer |
No amount of Gary Coleman can save this downer.
Blasting zombies. Let me clap slowly.
You have to admire Running With Scissors for cultivating its own niche of dumb. Its aesthetic of idiocy gets a real workout in Postal 2 Apocalypse Weekend, an add-on that grafts a new single-player campaign to the original Postal 2. Apocalypse Weekend is crude, lewd and incompetently produced. The mere existence of a “Piss Patch,” post release, is probably all anyone needs to know about its sense of humor. (As in, “how could they forget to include the ability to urinate on people for fun, or to piss on yourself to put out fires?”) As a way to briefly channel your inner sociopath, it’s entertaining in very short busts.
It falls far short of its predecessor because you can’t free-roam anymore, or have chores where you can actually choose whether to murder everyone or keep things civil. The levels are served in a very linear manner where all you do is shoot at stuff. And you’ll find little to entice you considering the shooting portion in both the original game and the expansion pack are equally trashy.
By removing the stuff that made the original game enjoyable, Apocalype Weekend sinks like a brick just a few levels in, and no amount of Gary Coleman or zombies with Tourettes can make this Apocalypse come to its logical end as quickly as possible.
